President meets with civil society organisations

Luanda, ANGOLA, December 4 - Angolan head of State João Lourenço is receiving Tuesday in Luanda the representatives of Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and civil society associations to discuss current issues. ,

 

The president will receive in audience ONGs and Civic Associations dealing with defence of Human Rights, Rural Development, Law and Promotion of Youth, according to a note from the President's Civil Affairs' Office.

 

In his first meeting with civil society figures - often vocal in condemning the Government actions - like Rafael Marques (Angola's Open Society Foundation), Luaty Beirão and Alexandra Simeão (HANDECA Association).

 

The list of the singular activists include Fernando Macedo (Justice, Peace and Development Association), Salvador Freire (Mãos Livres Association) and José Patrocínio (OMUNGA).

 

Mosaic Cultural Center, the Action for Rural Development and Environment (ADRA), AMANGOLA and the National and Provincial Youth Councils, are also among the associations to attend the meeting.
