Our Revolution Statement on the Travel Ban

WASHINGTON, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, UNITED STATES, June 27, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- James Zogby, Our Revolution Board Member and President of the Arab American Institute, on Monday released the following statement in response to the Supreme Court decision to uphold parts of the travel ban:

"The Supreme Court's decision to allow the partial enforcement of President Trump’s travel ban against refugees and travelers from Muslim-majority countries is immoral and flat out wrong. This decision places undue burdens on those seeking refuge from war based on fear and, in no way, contributes to our security, since refugees are already highly vetted. We are a country that welcomes immigrants and refugees of all faiths. Trump ran a campaign based on racism and xenophobia. It is disappointing to see our nation's highest court uphold these vile beliefs."
