The CABA seeks to improve the quality of life and economic development of the Central Area of Kansas City Kansas. They are committed to modeling diversity and inclusion for the entire community, maintaining an inclusive environment with equitable treatment for all. The CABA organizes La Placita, a weekly market at Bethany Park, sponsors a summer mentoring program, runs Free Wheels 4 Kids, offering free bicycles for youth empowerment, and manages The Stables, a small business office space where other nonprofit organizations operate.
