Deputy Secretary of State John J. Sullivan met today with Deputy Foreign Minister of Brazil Marcos Galvao. During their meeting, the Deputy Secretary reaffirmed support for our joint efforts to further economic prosperity and security for our citizens. Deputy Secretary Sullivan thanked Deputy Foreign Minister Galvao for the Brazilian government’s humanitarian support for Venezuelans who have fled their country, and for Brazil’s regional leadership in finding a solution to the crisis, particularly at the OAS.
